LEARN ABOUT OUR FRC TEAM, THE COMETS

      The COMETS (Creating Outstanding Minds, Embracing Technology and Science) is a Forest Hills based FIRST Robotics Team that aims to help improve our local community by giving educated STEM students at middle and high school levels an opportunity to pursue FIRST and STEM related fields while learning in a team-oriented environment and enjoying making friends, learning real-world skills, and friendly competition. While on the COMETS, high-schoolers learn robot skills like the ones learn in FTC such as ​robot skills such as coding, CAD (Computer Aided Design), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and media and marketing while developing soft skills such as cooperation, gracious professionalism, and working under a time constraint.

LEARN ABOUT OUR FTC TEAMS

     Our FTC teams, the METEORS  and the ASTEROIDS, aim to introduce middle school level kids into the fun and exciting world of FIRST. Through FIRST Technology Challenge, kids learn basic robot skills such as coding, CAD (Computer Aided Design), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and media and marketing while developing soft skills such as cooperation, gracious professionalism, and working under a time constraint that will help prepare kids for FRC. Being on a FTC team helps prepare kids to go onto the next level of FIRST, FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition).
